The Reven Ravens
An elite core of soldiers, trained for both covert missions and military missions. Reven Ravens are handpicked by the Duke of Revenald; incredible combat, stealth and charismatic skills are required of Reven Raven recruits, since they must be skilled at disguises, leading soldiers, sneaking into enemy compounds, scouting, and all forms of combat. Another large requirement of Reven Raven recruits is an unwavering loyalty to the Duke and the Crown of Erumara.
They are ranked (from highest to lowest): Captain, Officer, Operative.
The Society of Assassins
The Society of Assassins is the most successful and feared guild of Assassins in all of Erumara. They hold no alliances with any other organization or Kingdom. Thereby remaining neutral in all their dealings, making it easy for them to accept a contract from any source. They are commanded by the mysterious leader known only as The Master; none have ever seen his/her face. The only way to join the Society is if a Master or The Master directly contacts you. The best of the Assassins cannot be easily recognized, but they identify themselves to other members through special passwords that change bimonthly. They are based in Winter’s Eyrie. A number of their members pay homage to the god, Esrym.
They are ranked (from highest to lowest): Master/Mistress, Silencer, Assassin, Advocate, Freshblood.
The Vigil Guard
The Vigil Guard are the new “peacekeepers” of Asendil formed by King Marvic. This small garrison force is comprised of brigands, murderers, lowlifes, and mercenaries. They answer to the King, but are also loyal to the Shadowknights, who make up a majority of the city’s garrison. They are noticeable by their black leather jerkins with an open red eye emblem on the chest, and their dark purple capes.
They are ranked (from highest to lowest): Captain, Officer.
The Shadowknights
The Shadowknights are a “paladin” sect of the Kassisen church. The strongest clerics and fighters are automatically inducted into this group. They are the backbone of Kassislek’s mortal army, and they spearhead his campaign of world domination. They are recognizable by their coal black plate or chainmail armor and blood red cloaks. Their main base of operations is the Shadowkeep in Rash Vok.
They are ranked (from highest to lowest): General, Colonel, Captain, Foot Soldier, Trainee.
Kassisenites
The Kassisenites are the faithful clergy members of Kassislek. They strive to fulfill their God’s wishes by conquering the world through war and worship. They operate out of any church dedicated to Kassislek, either openly in a city or in secret.
They are ranked (from highest to lowest): Grand Savant, Holy Savant, High Priest/Priestess, Priest/Priestess, Advocate, Acolyte.
The Merchant Companies
All over the known world, bands of wealthy merchants’ purchase large compounds and employ hundreds of workers to man their compounds in every large city in the world, also hiring mercenaries to guard their wares. Most merchants have absolutely no loyalties to any kingdom since they pride wealth over loyalty.
They are rank (from highest to lowest): Owner, Accountant, Manager, Merchant, Yard Hand.
The Peacekeepers
The peacekeepers are the assigned guards of the towns in all Erumara, they are trained in the barracks of the castles and then shipped out to the town they have been assigned.
Their presence is to reassure people that if something will go amiss these well trained men will deal with it.
While their loyalties lie with the king and queen the ruling Dukes or Duchess of the towns control the actions of the peacekeepers as it is their town they're helping to protect.
Any large scale attacks will have to be condoned by the king and queen first.
Every week the captain of the peacekeepers presents their appointed master with a detailed report of the going-ons in their town.
These reports contain crime rates, suspicious deaths and regular deaths, guild activities, merchant logs and a total number of inhabitants among other minor details.
Peacekeepers are always armoured, they're recognizable because of that, every town gets their crest emblazoned on the front and back of the chest guards so they may recognize any peacekeepers from other towns.
They are ranked (from highest to lowest): General, Colonel, Commander, Captain, Officer, Foot Soldier, Trainee.
The Arcanum Suprenum
The Arcanum Suprenum is a coalition of magae and necromancer outcasts that have banded together. They are well known for ransacking ancient ruins for magical trinkets, tomes, scrolls, etc. They are infamous for their periodic raids on solitary magaes’ homes, arcane collages, and small towns. One of their directives is to conquer the world, but it plays second fiddle to their chief directive, which is the gathering of magic might through any means. The members of the Arcanum Suprenum are simply referred to as Arcanites. Some of their members are faithful of Kinaer. In order to join this organization one must travel to their headquarters, Kinaer’s Spear. Kinaer’s Spear is a massive spiralling stone tower hidden within Rash Vok’s borders; hidden because of King Azoth’s violent hatred of most magic users.
They are ranked (from highest to lowest): Archmage, Master/Mistress, Magae, Advocate, Acolyte.
Mercenary Companies
There are many such companies all over Erumara, each with their own emblem, garb, and loyalties. All work for profit, but some also work for the betterment of society or try to protect society, while others could care less for anything other than the money.

The Moonwings’
The Moonwings’ are the most prominent thieves’ guild in Erumara. Based out of Winterfell, the Moonwings’ control and orchestrate almost every den of thieves in the world. Considered somewhat honourable for they forbid random murder, and only kill if the individual has gravely slighted the Guild. A Moonwing guild hall can be found in every city, but can only be found by members, and initiates brought to its location. There is no proper uniform, and can only be identified by the Moonwings’ dove shaped pin given to every member.
They are ranked (from highest to lowest): Master/Mistress, Shadowfoot, Quickhand, Nimblefinger, Advocate.
The Tal’Vayil
The Tal’Vayil is a Drow mercenary company founded by Zivven Culnamo, the sole survivor of House Culnamo of Nazzordae. Zivven and his followers are secret worshippers of Korlith, and so deceive many of their employers and work for the highest bidder regardless of race or religion. The Tal’Vayil is a strictly a male only mercenary company comprised of Houseless rogues and commoners. The Tal’Vayil are infamously known as being the true cause of the Serpent-Chain Wars, since Zivven dealt with both sides during the conflict and he is after all a follower of Korlith, The Master of Deception.
They are ranked (from highest to lowest): Commander, Captain, Soldier/Operative.
The Ysu-Sara-Din
The Ysu-Sara-Din is a mysterious band of people who guard the borders of Merusia from both who choose to leave and enter the isolated desert kingdom. They patrol the Salair Desert on the sturdy backs of camels, covered head to toe in black robes and armor, and armed with exotic bladed weapons. Without prejudice or due judgement, Ysu-Sara-Din slays any who try to enter or leave the mysterious desert kingdom. Erumaran diplomats were once able to interact peacefully with the strange group and learned that they do not wish war, but refuse to allow any to leave or enter Merusia. The Ysu-Sara-Din is trying to create stability in Merusia through brute force, espionage, and diplomacy against the tyrannical and greedy Sultan’s.
